My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Reach the Next Level

Challenge yourself to go farther, faster, and longer.

You hear a lot of people talk about reaching a plateau in their weight loss or fitness goals. They were exercising consistently and seeing results, but then everything slowed down and, in some cases, came to a halt. Now they wonder if their efforts are worth it, and they’re tempted to give up. Maybe you’re in the same place or want to avoid getting there. So what should you do? Hint: You shouldn’t give up.

Keep at it and you can be successful in reaching your fitness goals, no matter what they are. Here are a few suggestions to help along the way.

Do More

When you do the same workout for the same amount of time day in and day out, your body adapts and stops producing results. What should you do? For one, lengthen your workouts. Add 5 to 10 minutes to your typical 30-minute jog. Spend 45 minutes at the gym instead of 30.

If you normally only workout three days a week, it may be time to add another day or two. Plan to workout at least five days a week. The more you exercise, the more calories you’ll burn.

Then increase the amount of resistance in your strength training routine. Start with a 5- to 10-percent increase. Each workout, add a few pounds. Or instead of adding weight, get in more repetitions. You may be used to doing 10 to 15 reps of each exercise. Increase this to 20 or 25 reps. When that becomes easy, do more! These changes will challenge and build your muscles.

Be Consistent

Don’t expect to reach the next level in your fitness if you’re not consistent in your efforts. Exercise must be a priority. One or two workouts every week isn’t going to cut it. Just ask your trainer. Commit yourself to regular workouts dedicated to reaching your goals. Yes, you may be tired, busy, or sore from the day before, but you can’t skip your workouts.

Set a Goal

Need some serious motivation to reach the next level? Sign up to participate in an event. When you have a deadline and a specific goal to work towards, you’ll be more motivated to go to the gym. Sign up for a race, a sporting event, an obstacle race, or a bodybuilding show. Whatever you choose to go after, make sure you have enough time to prepare for the event and use your time wisely!

Try Something New

Many people get in a workout rut. A lack of results often occurs when you’re doing the same exercise every workout. You may feel most comfortable on the treadmill, but it’s important to try new exercises that use new muscles and challenge your muscles in new ways. This is known as cross training. Get brave, and try a new workout. Before too long you’ll be a pro. As you start something new, remember that your trainer is a great resource for advice and guidance.

Use a Fitness Device

If you’ve never used a fitness device, what are you waiting for? These devices can add a new element to your workouts. You may have never worried about the number of steps you take, your target heart rate range, or how many calories you burn in your workout, but a fitness device can change that. It will track each of those things and take your workouts to the next level. Some can also help track your progress, a huge benefit and motivator. Have a competitive spirit? Pick a device that lets you connect to friends and family with the same type of device to foster friendly competition.
