Finish Fit boot camp has demonstrated to me that I am VERY capable of pushing my body to its limits. Prior to starting the class I was nervous because it had been a really long time since I had been physically active. With Finish Fit I am now 5 pounds away from my pre-baby weight, something I had been trying to lose for two years! Thanks Lauren, Brett and Armen for helping me lose 10 pounds in four weeks!

David Binns
My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Better Safe Than Sorry

Talk with your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.

Everyone has strange symptoms every once in a while. Some clearly need to be evaluated by a doctor such as chest pain, an excruciating headache, or high fever. But not all. Some leave you scratching your head. They can be easy to ignore, and you may be tempted to wait for them to go away on their own. However, when unusual symptoms last more than a couple weeks or are accompanied by other symptoms, don’t ignore them. Those long-lasting symptoms may indicate an underlying health condition that needs attention.

Do you have any of the following symptoms? Make an appointment to see your doctor. It might be nothing, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Unexplainable Weight Loss

If you’re cutting calories and exercising, it’s expected that you’ll lose some weight. However, if your diet and exercise habits haven’t changed, yet you’re still losing weight, this is concerning. Any time you notice the scale going down or your clothes feeling looser than usual, make an appointment with your doctor. Unexplained weight loss can be a sign of cancer, thyroid conditions, or diabetes.

Change in Bathroom Habits

Most people have a bowel movement around the same time each day. You know your schedule. When your bathroom habits begin to change, see your doctor. New or persistent constipation, frequent diarrhea, blood in your stool, or feeling like you haven’t finished a bowel movement are all reasons for concern. Don’t be embarrassed to talk with your doctor about these kinds of issues. They hear it all.

Shortness of Breath

Shortness of breath is another symptom you shouldn’t ignore. You may think it’s just because you’re out of shape, but when you get short of breath by doing everyday activities, it may be a sign something more serious is going on. It’s a common mistake to think shortness of breath has to be paired with cough or chest pain in order to be something worth seeing a doctor about. This symptom is sneaky because it usually comes on gradually. Ignoring it could be dangerous though, as it could be a sign of asthma, heart disease, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Fatigue

Even after a full night of sleep, you feel like you didn’t sleep at all. There’s a reason you feel this way. And it may not be what you imagine. Fatigue can be a symptom of any number of health conditions. These include chronic fatigue syndrome, systemic exertion intolerance disease, anemia, depression, allergies, thyroid disease, sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, infection, liver disease, lung disease, or kidney disease. See your doctor if you have lingering, unexplainable tiredness that keeps you from your everyday activities.

Headaches

Everyone gets a headache at some point, but regular headaches warrant a trip to the doctor. The pattern, severity, and location of your headache will help your doctor determine its cause. While some headaches are linked to stress, alcohol, dehydration, or poor posture, others are the result of something more serious.

When headaches are prolonged, worsen over time, or are accompanied by symptoms such as numbness or weakness, they’re more concerning.

Skin Changes

It’s smart to examine your skin on a regular basis so you can take note of any changes. Don’t ignore changes in color or appearance. A yellow tint could indicate problems with your liver or gallbladder. See any unusual lesions, lumps, or changes to moles? Make an appointment with a dermatologist for evaluation. It could be cancer or something else that needs quick treatment.
