My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

Before You Die

Creating and fulfilling your bucket list.

Originating over 200 years ago, the phrase “kick the bucket” is humorous slang for “die.” It is unclear as to where this expression came from, but one theory is that people would stand on a bucket when using a rope to commit suicide. When they kicked the bucket, they would die. Others believe the phrase originates back to Shakespearian language, in which bucket referred to the wooden beam animals would hang from before being slaughtered. Whatever the case, when people speak of kicking the bucket, they are referring to dying.

This is where the phrase “bucket list” comes from. A bucket list has come to be known as a list of things you hope to accomplish, see, or experience before you die. This list may consist of your dreams, wishes, or goals in life. If you’ve never considered making a bucket list, you may find it to be a helpful exercise. Here’s why.

Life Goals

What motivates you in life? What is your purpose? Setting goals and working toward them brings meaning to many people’s lives. A bucket list may include things that will bring personal fulfillment and joy. Top priorities on such a list may include things like going parasailing, running a marathon, or going on a safari.

Others may find their greatest purpose and joy from living life to serve and love others. Such a list might include things such as going on a mission trip, serving a Thanksgiving meal at a homeless shelter, or being a great foster parent.
Other items on a bucket list could be ways to enrich your life and could include things such as learning a new skill or traveling to foreign lands.

Certain things on your list may not be things you can easily check off like “getting a tattoo.” Rather, your list should include goals that take a lifetime to achieve such as learning patience or maintaining a healthy weight.

A bucket list may easily include goals that bring joy to, enrich, and serve others. After all, life on planet Earth won’t last forever, so how do you hope to live it?

Write it Down

Perhaps you have goals and dreams in life but you’ve never taken the time to write them down. Doing so could be a fun and enlightening exercise. Take an evening by yourself, with a friend, or with your family, and take some time to write down the things you’d each like to accomplish before you kick the bucket. Such an exercise will show you a lot about your personality and the kind of person you’d like to be.

As you make your list, be reasonable. At the same time, leave room for dreams. For example, many goals are pricey to achieve. Would you really be able to visit the moon? Can you afford to travel to all seven continents?

Write down your list in no particular order. You can go back later and prioritize your what you’ve written. If you’re serious about accomplishing your goals, start working toward them. Keep the list in a place you’ll see it as a reminder. As you fulfill your goals, check them off. It’ll give you a sense of accomplishment, while seeing what you still have to work towards may give you the motivation you need to get up and get moving when life is getting you down.
