My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

What’s your motivation to exercise?

For years you’ve struggled with your weight. The dieting and exercise work for a while, but you eventually give up and the weight returns. You know the trick to successful weight loss is making lifestyle changes that last a lifetime, but you can’t seem to stick with the changes for longer than a few months. When you go back to your old habits, you’ve got to find your fat jeans again.

You know people who are committed to exercise. Rain or shine, day in and day out, they’re at the gym, in the pool, or on the track. When you see these people, you may wonder where they get their inspiration. What is it that motivates them to stick to exercise and could it motivate you, too?


Studies show that community is a powerful motivator. When your alarm goes off in the morning and you’re tempted to hit snooze, if you have friends waiting for you at the gym, you’ll be more likely to get out of bed. Need motivation to exercise? Then find a group of people who cheer you on, who are sweating along with you, and who have similar fitness goals. This could be a workout partner to spot you weight lifting (or your trainer, cough, cough), an online group to hold you accountable, an athletic club, or any type of class at the gym.


There’s nothing like a health diagnosis to get you motivated to exercise. Exercise is a proven way to improve your physical and mental health.

High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other heart disease risk factors can be reduced with exercise. A diagnosis of pre-diabetes is also a serious wake up call to work out in an effort to reverse the condition. The pain and stiffness of arthritis can be relieved through low-impact exercise. And a variety of other health issues can be improved or even overcome when you get moving.


Looking in the mirror and not liking what you see may motivate you to hit the gym. Many people are motivated by the desire to wear a certain kind of clothes, to look good in their bathing suit at the beach, or just feel more confident about their appearance. You may never look like the models in magazines (that’s probably a good thing), but you can shed a few pounds, build defined muscle, or reduce the amount of jiggle in your athletic leggings.

Cardio exercise is the best way to burn calories. Add interval training to increase your calorie burn even more. Incorporate strength training into your workouts to help build and tone muscle.

Feel Better

Tired of feeling tired, dragged out, and sluggish? Wish you weren’t always stressed, uptight, and tense? Not sure how to get over your depression or anxiety? What you need could be as simple as more exercise. Many people who consistently exercise do so because of the way exercise makes them feel physically, emotionally, and mentally. Physical activity is known to increase your energy and give you an extra boost to make it through the day.

Exercise is also a healthy and effective way to manage stress. Instead of turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms, go for a walk or run to burn off steam. Regular workouts help keep stress at bay.

And while exercise may be the last thing you feel like doing when you’re depressed or anxious, regular exercise can help you feel better. This is because exercise releases brain chemicals called endorphins that improve your mood and sense of well-being. Exercise also distracts you from your negative thoughts. Once you experience these benefits of exercise, you may be motivated to continue your workouts day in and day out.
