My name is David Binns. I began working out three years ago and while I was able to lose weight, I still lacked tone. I began lifting but only showed very small results after a year. Since I have started training with Armen, I have gained about 8 lbs of muscle in a short 3 months. I have more energy, better stamina, and my workout regimen has improved as well to be more rounded. These are things that I tried to do myself by reading books on the subject but that I am now convinced only comes with years experience and an extended education in training. These are both things that Armen possesses and has used to guide me to very favorable results. Using his advice I have improved my diet, and focused on foods that help burn fat and build muscle. My workouts have reached new levels with him pushing me to attain the best results. Armen has also helped me to create a workout schedule for the whole week, not just at personal training. I would recommend personal training to anyone who wants fast results that last.

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

The start of a new year is a great time to evaluate your life. The perfect time to set goals and make changes for the better. People make all kinds of resolutions, from weight loss to getting out of debt to spending more time with family. If your life feels a bit scattered, you may want to resolve to get organized.

Do you ever feel like you can’t keep up? Do you forget important dates? Show up late to appointments? Have a house that’s a cluttered mess? Unable to see the top of your desk? You need some organization.

If your goal is to get more organized, here are a few tips to get started.

Fix Your Schedule

The most important thing you need to keep your schedule organized is a daily planner or calendar. If you’re always on the go and on your phone, a calendar app is the way to go. Others prefer to write important dates and times down on paper. Choose one or the other and keep it updated. As soon as you set an appointment, get invited to a party, or learn of an upcoming event, note it on your calendar. Stay on the same page with your family by sharing your calendar with others.

You may like post-it notes, but apps on your phone are also helpful tools for setting reminders. Whether you need to have your car’s oil changed or clothing dry cleaned, a reminder on your phone can alert you ahead of time.

You can’t remember everything you need to do. Lists may not be your thing, but they’re an invaluable tool for staying organized. Write questions to ask the doctor, what to buy at the grocery store, what to pack for vacation, and steps for planning your son’s birthday party. Download an app to keep record of frequently used lists.

Tidy Your Home

To start the process of organizing your home, choose one area. The size of the area will depend on how much time you have. It could be a drawer, counter, closet, or room. Once one area is complete, move on to the next until you’ve reached your goal.

Getting organized starts with decluttering. You probably have a lot of stuff you no longer use. Create three piles: throw away, donate to charity, and keep. Once you have your pile of things to keep, find a dedicated place for each item. Storage containers, drawer dividers, and labels are helpful.

Like your schedule, an organized home requires daily and weekly attention from everyone in the home. Once an area is decluttered and organized, spend a few minutes each day keeping it that way. This means cleaning up after each meal, picking up at the end of the day, and cleaning each and every week.

Clear Your Office

An organized workspace increases productivity and decreases time wasted. Just because your desktop is clear of piles and papers doesn’t mean your office is organized. To make your office a more efficient place to work, get rid of unnecessary equipment, supplies, papers, files, and furniture.

Next, create a dedicated place for each item. Put paper files in cabinets, books and materials on shelves, and supplies in containers for supplies. Keep frequently used items nearby. Keep the rest out of the way. For added organization, file whatever you can digitally. This gets it out of your way. It also makes it easier to sort through. And of course, end each day clearing your desktop so you get a fresh start in the morning.
